Welcome to the Adventist Science Educator's Association website!

ASEA (Adventist Science Educator's Assocation) was formed to provide professional support to Seventh-day Adventist science teachers. Its purpose is to improve communication among science educators and enhance science learning in the classroom. The goals of ASEA are to promote excellence in Christ-centered science teaching, to provide a forum for sharing instructional techniques, to provide a medium for sharing news and discussing issues, and to provide encouragement for professional growth. Membership is available to current and retired Adventist science teachers, to college students interested in teaching science and to student missionaries who are currently teaching science.

ASEA’s New Logo Challenge

May 24th, 2011 by scotru

Create a new logo for the Adventist Science Educator’s Association’s New Website / Webforum and win $500.00…!

Each proposal must be submitted in Scalable Vector Graphics (SVG) format. You can design the logo using vector graphics editing software like Corel Draw, Adobe Illustrator, or the free open source InkScape.

As an Adventist Organization, we seek logos that creatively show God as our Creator, Science which reveals the God of Science, and Holds the wealth of resources of who we are and want to become.

Adventist Science Educator’s Association is an organization pioneered by Terry Verlo and Donald Quackenbush nearly 20 years ago. It was designed and continues to be a resource for Adventist science educators to share ideas and lessons that make science come alive in their classrooms. It also branches out to help support the team of new science teachers and student missionaries who will be heading out into the working field of education this Fall.

The deadline for your proposal will be on Friday, August 5, 2011.

We look forward to all the creative ways you can make ASEA come to the forefront of Science Education…!

Sincerely,

Bob Nobuhara
Adventist Science Educator’s Association
